SDL Minorfern Shop Branding

The brief

SDL Minorfern is a well-established, family-run business, successfully supplying tools, equipment, and car parts to the garage and car repair trade for the last 40 years. With its Head Office and Distribution Centre located in Chesterfield, SDL turned to us as a fellow local business and Chesterfield Champion, for help updating the shop counters within their 12 branches across the UK.

The brief was to come up with a creative way to display the everyday car care products available at each branch, while updating the branding at the same time.

To help meet this challenge we proposed photographing the products currently being displayed on shelving units and replicating these onto graphic boards. This would be visually appealing, give the idea of products being on display, and free up space in the shop. We also suggested adding extra branding and messaging to the boards to show customers SDL’s key suppliers and important statistics.

SDL loved this idea and our team quickly got to work designing and producing the various deliverables for their main Chesterfield shop. Once our installation team had finished measuring up, they professionally installed:

• 4 product boards
• Messaging and statistics board
• Frosted vinyl window graphics and logo
• Brand set boards with messaging and key suppliers
• Counter front graphics showing products and brand

Our team has recently completed work at the Burton and Leeds branches and are looking forward to working at more SDL branches in the months ahead.
