Great Tommy Sleepout

FWD Motion’s Co-Director, Mike Priestley, along with 3 friends, raised over £1000 for the Great Tommy Sleep Out to raise funds for the Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI).

With over 6000 homeless veterans in the UK, the challenge involved sleeping under the stars on a cold, wet March night to raise both awareness and much needed funds for the charity. Mike and 3 friends stayed out for a whole night under a camping tarp in 40 mph winds and driving rain.

Mike says: “We chose one of the most challenging nights in March for the Sleep Out and the evening ended with four very wet and tired fundraisers. The experience made me very thankful to have a roof over my head, especially when considering there are so many homeless veterans out there enduring this night after night. I’d like to thank everyone who sponsored us to raise funds for this incredible charity.”

The Great Tommy Sleep Out has now raised over £200,000 for the RBLI with over 3600 fundraisers taking part.
