Alzheimer's Society charity climb
Bright eyed and bushy tailed, the team before the climb

A Dark, cold, windy and wet trek to the top of Ben Nevis was made into a reality on Saturday evening when David, Mike, Dom, Gill and Kirsty completed their challenge.A

A grueling climb with snow near the summit and the usual hospitable Scottish weather made the trek a memorable one and challenged all of the participants muscles and willpower at times.

David and Mike tackled the challenge in just under 6 hours and were amongst the fastest times to complete the course and get back to camp. This was mainly due to Mike and David having an eye on the prize of a hearty fry up before everyone else.

The trek is usually completed in 8 hours, Dom made a video of the evening and commented "It was hard to fit 8 hours of extreme walking and weather conditions into a couple of minutes! At least your legs won't ache from watching.”

Thank you to everybody who has donated to the team, hopefully, you will continue to see what other challenges Dom has to do to reach his sixteen in 16 and you’ll continue to support him.

If anybody would still like to pledge sponsorship you can still do this at Dom's JustGiving page.

On behalf of everybody at FWD:Motion we would like to wish Dom the best of luck in completing all the challenges and look forward to raising a toast at the end of them all.
